Michael Cole
Founder

Michael is the founder of Cole & Associates. Since 2010, he has been working hard to serve clients in the northern Virginia and greater Washington, D.C. area. Michael has held several positions in credit and collections, corporate accounting, and not-for-profit organizations.

Professionally, he enjoys the challenge of identifying and solving problems, listening to the needs of business people, and managing the firm. Personally, he is active in the Virginia Society of CPA’s and has been a member of AICPA since 2003.

Michael has a long history as a tax accountant, working for several CPA firms. In addition to holding a BS in Accounting, he keeps abreast of the ever-changing laws and focuses
his attention on our firm’s developing role in the tax field and its expanding clientele who require tax help. He is excellent in the area of tax preparation and enjoys and understands computer
technology.

Michael consults with business and individual clients in the areas of tax and estate planning. He has a wide range of accounting experience which enables him to provide relevant and timely advice and assistance to business owners with their internal accounting, periodic reporting, forecasting and ultimately the development and implementation of succession plans. His experience in business valuation helps him guide business owners to an understanding of how the decisions they make today impact the value of their business.

Michael is also the founder of Cole Construction company and holds a class A construction License from the state of Virginia. With a staff of over 10 carpenters and construction personal, Cole Construction Company specializes in both wood and steel framing, drywall, painting and remodeling
and serves the northern Virginia and greater Washington, D.C area.
